Built in 1927 and nestled beneath gum tress on a rise overlooking the township, the Latin word Salve – Welcome – on the threshold expresses one of the primary Benedictine values – hospitality.
Originally built as a Hostel for parents of the boarders at the New Norcia Colleges, and for many years operating as a Hotel, this grand neo-classical style building will take your breath away. The New Norcia Hostel boasts fifteen comfortable rooms (with shared facilities) and swooping verandas and balconies to sit and soak up the peace and tranquility and is available for groups of 10 or more.
Our catering department provides delicious meals for pre-booked resident groups, tour groups or private functions, to enjoy in the grand dining room, with various options available.
A range of private functions are held at the New Norcia Hostel during the year as well as events such as the seasonal 'Abbot's Table Dinners' and concert sundowners. For more information or to book a ticket please visit our webshop.
